Excel Personnel has been retained by our client in Prince George, BC to recruit their Chief Financial Officer in the Construction Industry.
As a senior member of our management team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the Finance department and providing innovative and effective financial leadership to senior management to ensure the long-term health of our client’s finances.
The company is an owner managed industrial construction company which has been operating in resource and related sectors across the interior and north of BC and into the Prairie provinces for over 30 years. The company is earning revenues in excess of $50M annually and employs approximately 200 employees. The company has created a competitive advantage by developing certain specialties in the industry. The Company has significant fixed and current assets for its operations and employs many long-term staff. This position provides a unique opportunity to join a young and motivated group of shareholders through participation in employee share ownership.
The CFO will be responsible for administering financial management and reporting systems and ensuring the policies and procedures of the company meet accounting and reporting requirements under ASPE. The successful candidate and will be responsible for developing and maintaining a work environment that is supportive to the organization and must have the following skill set:
Reporting to the CEO, and owners, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the day-to-day management of the financial administration systems of our client’s business, which include the following duties:
Planning, Operations, Financial Information, Risk Management, Monitoring and Reporting.
Minimum Academic/Educational Requirements
Professional accounting designation (CPA) (CMA) and a degree in a related discipline, the incumbent will have comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and a minimum of 5 years’ advanced experience in a progression of financial management roles.
