When not in the office answering your calls, you will find Karen at Training Seminars to bring the latest technology to our Cities, or Traveling to clients around North America or Boating on the Shuswap.
If you have the Skills, Abilities, Personality, Dress and Attitude to match our clients job description along with company fit and salary expectations, then we are sending you in for an interview. Your recruiter is the key person to make this happen.
Karen loves the water, whether it’s a Lake or a river or an ocean, and when travelling she has to be by bodies of water, she loves boating to her rustic cabin on the Shuswap and spending time renovating the cabin and boating with friends.

I was a professional competitive swimmer and was coached by the now Olympic Swimmer Rick Say, and was part of a National Competition team with him.
Based out of our Prince George office, Geoff Simpson heads up Excel Personnel’s Northern BC Operations and brings with him extensive experience in Sales, Communications, Operations and mid-level Management along with a Client Centric business focus.

Your recruiter is your ambassador to the client and the client’s ambassador to you. Remember when sitting across the desk, on the phone or on video chatting on skype with a recruiter, it’s an interview…dress and act the part and leave a positive and lasting impression. Even if you don’t get the role you’re interviewing for, you will remain top of mind for the next opportunity.
After High School, Geoff wanted to become an actor and actually read for a role on the hit 90’s television series, Beverly Hills 90210. Needless to say he didn’t get the part and now has a life-long hatred of Brian Austin Green.

Always give 100% at every job you are placed in. It may just be one day, or a few hours, but you are getting a foot in the door at a company that could have your dream job. Make a positive impression and you might be the first person they think of when they are hiring. You never know where your next opportunity will come from!
I recently got married, and we forgot the cake knife so my husband and I cut it with a sword that we got as a wedding gift. A real sword.
Based out of our Prince George office, Laura Lawrence joined the growing Temporary Staffing division in the fall of 2017. Laura comes to Excel with a passion for business development and human resource management. With experience in the private and non-profit business sectors; Laura brings with her a solid understanding of client needs, a large network and is adept at identifying and placing stellar candidates for any project.
Things like Experience, professional demeanor and having a well put together resume are always going to be important. What you lack in experience can be improved upon by volunteering and hitting it out of the park when you have good rapport. Every interaction with an interviewer, temporary placement or recruiter is a possibility so make a positive impact.
In her off time Laura loves staying up way too late into the night to catch a glimpse of a meteor shower, the Aurora Borealis or any other astronomical event that is worth freezing under a blanket for.
