THE OPPORTUNITY

Excel Personnel has been building business relationships and placing employees in British Columbia for the last 27 years in Temporary, Permanent and Executive Search Services. Currently Excel has another fabulous opportunity for an individual looking to grow in the recruitment field. 

The Sales & Talent Acquisition Consultant will be responsible for business development, recruiting and sourcing permanent/contract and temporary staff for our client sites. This position requires very strong Business to Business Sales skills, Organization, Document Control, Data Base Management, and Inside Sales/Customer Service ability to ensure client and candidate satisfaction.

As a Full-Service Recruitment Agency, Excel Personnel recruits and places both Temporary/ Contract Workers and recruits for Permanent and Executive Search Services in all industries in Northern, Central and Southern BC.  You will be joining a team of recruiters to assist our client base.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively pursuing Business Development and networking of potential Clients to hit sales targets.
  • Account Retention/Inside sales of Contract Clients.
  • Sourcing and managing and developing positive relationships with prospective clients and candidates.
  • Identifying, sourcing and recruiting top candidates who meet our clients specific hiring needs with skills, abilities, personality, dress and attitude to fit within their organization.
  • Sourcing through a variety of platforms and avenues for candidates in many industries, such as Administration, Finance, and Management.
  • Utilize candidate database to match the right person to the client’s vacancy.
  • Conduct interviews, in person, telephone and video conferencing.
  • Coordinate, schedule and prepare candidates and client interviews for permanent open job orders.
  • Negotiate pay and salary rates and finalizing arrangements between the client and candidate.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper completion of candidate evaluations, psychometric assessments, criminal-record and driver’s abstract searches and reference checks, employment verification and reference checks, as well as drug and alcohol tests as requested by clients.
  • Document Control, Records Management, Contract Preparation and Compile Proposals/Reports.
  • Social Media Management for both sourcing and networking.
  • Attend business networking events & community events to engage with the community.
  • It is expected that you will actively participate in the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Work with the team to ensure all our clients and candidates have a positive experience with Excel Personnel.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be serious about building a career, which means you are savvy, hard-working, goal oriented, and have a high drive to learn and grow personally and professionally

  • You relish a challenge and actively pursue new clients, while maintaining a positive presence in the community.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous professional experience in Human Resources, Recruiting and/or Sales and Customer Service will be an asset.
  • Tenacity to learn and continually develop new skills.
  • You are familiar with Social Media Management with the ability to use Hootsuite to streamline Facebook, Twitter and Linked In channels to name a few.
  • The ability to manage your own workload, schedule and are good at juggling multiple priorities.
  • You are highly self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Detail-orientated and have strong organizational skills.
  • Enjoy working independently on projects but also supporting the overall team success.
  • Experience with cloud and desktop software, MS Word, Excel and you understand the critical importance of a well-kept Data Base, and efficient digital file management.
  • Post-secondary education – ideally a university degree or college diploma with a Human Resources focus.
