Excel Personnel's Northern Office in Prince George has been retained to recruit our clients next Finance & Administrative Assistant to add to their team.
Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Accounting:
Accounts Receivable, Payable and Financial Statements
Reconcile and prepare cash and invoice journals
Produce month-end reports for payment
Prepare accounts receivable and follow up with overdue accounts
Maintain employee benefit coverages using Insurance Carriers software
Produce monthly Financial Statements for Management
Prepare year-end Financial Summaries for Auditors
Assist with other accounting related duties as required
Maintain complex documents and procedures
Skilled in Adagio or Sage 300 (AccPac+) software
General Administrative:
Manage the reception area, receiving guests and preparation of boardroom and luncheons
Receiving and directing telephone calls (as needed)
Maintain filing systems
General Administrative Support including filing, copying, distribution of materials & documents, completion of forms, correspondence, receiving and sending of courier and mail, general light-duty housekeeping
Other office related duties as required
Requirements:
Accuracy and Confidentiality is Primary
5+ years of administrative and accounting support experience
Accounting and/or Business Administration Diploma will be an asset
Above average experience in Microsoft Office Applications
Sound and practical knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures and principles
Experience in an insurance environment is an asset
Highly organized and with the ability to multi-task in an extremely integrated work environment
Self-motivated but team oriented
Best in Class written and verbal communication skills
Strong experience in administration and accounting functions of the office
35 hour work week Monday to Friday with an attractive salary and benefits for the successful candidate
Salary is negotiable based on previous experience

Typing Test (WPM)
Data Entry Testing
