Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator will be directly responsible for overseeing the day to day HR, Payroll and benefits administration activities in a plant. As well, this position will assist with administrative requirements to support the plant. This position will report to the Plant Manager with accountability to the Regional HR Manager also.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner in the effective execution of the plant strategies to meet business goals, and provide feedback and support on all employee related issues at the site.
Assist in further development and proposing of improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of human resources and safety.
Resolving minor employee issues and conflict resolution.
Administers the benefits program for employees in the plant.
Responsible for claims management including WSIB, Short Term Disability and the Return to Work program.
Advise employees and management personnel on the interpretation of Company policies, programs and procedures.
Carries out administrative work related to human resource functions and maintains related records.
Accountable for full-cycle recruiting and on-boarding or hourly employees.
Oversee Kronos timekeeping and payroll administration that will be trained on.
Coordinates all site recognition and social events under direction of Plant Manager and his guidance and input.
Assist the Plant H&S Department with administrative duties.
Other office related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
The ability to organize the workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities in an environment of rapid change.
Comfortable with Micro soft Word, Excel, PP, Outlook.
Professional designation in Human Resources - CHRP, CPHR being a benefit or related experience.
Minimum of 6 - 12 months in a generalist role within a manufacturing environment would be ideal, however, transferrable skills in any industry will be an asset
Having some Sound knowledge of employment, industrial labor relations, and occupational safety legislation will be an asset however if you are the King/Queen of HR and can pick up new regulations by researching what is needed, then we have a chance to move to the next stages.
Compensation based on experience with 100% full attractive benefits
Salary ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 per annum based on background and what you can bring to the table for our client.
