Job Code: #5075 Job Type: Contract Location: Kamloops Reporting to the Controller, the Office Administration - Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivable and cross train with AP and Payroll to provide consistent coverage
The successful applicant should have:
proven AR and AP experience - at least 3 years in a similar role
working knowledge of Sage 300 and Quickbooks
be very comfortable with Excel, Word and Outlook
be detail oriented with a high level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability
good communications skills both written and oral
ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments
previous experience in the natural gas construction and pipeline construction and maintenance industry would be considered an asset
Job duties include:
Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
Processing and recording transactions.
Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
Generating reports and statements for internal use.
Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
Cross- training opportunities for payroll, accounts payable, job costing duties
Other duties as assigned.
